About the job

Are you a payroll professional who thrives on precision, innovation, and making a real impact? At Alfa Laval, we believe payroll is more than just numbers—it's about empowering our people and driving digital transformation. We're seeking a Payroll Specialist who's ready to take ownership, champion new solutions, and ensure our employees are always at the heart of what we do.

You will join a payroll team of around 10 people based in Sverige and Danmark and be a part of our HR shared services organization reporting to Payroll Manager Sverige and Danmark. Your responsibilities will cover the Danish site though.

What You will Do

• Own the Payroll Process: Manage end-to-end payroll with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and Virksomhed policies.
• Be the Data Guardian: Maintain and update payroll records, reports, and employee data across our HRIS and payroll systems (Lessor, Mobility, Time & Attendance).
• Ensure Accuracy: Reconcile payroll data, guaranteeing precise calculation of wages, benefits, taxes, and deductions.
• Collaborate & Connect: Work closely with HR and Finance to resolve discrepancies, support audits, and deliver seamless payroll experiences.
• Drive Innovation: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and automate payroll processes, embracing digital solutions for greater efficiency and accuracy.
• Lead Digitalization: Play a key role in transforming payroll workflows and documentation, contributing to our digital journey.
• Stay Ahead: Keep up to date with the latest payroll legislation, tax changes, and technology trends, ensuring Alfa Laval remains compliant and competitive.
• Be the Go-To Expert: Serve as a subject matter expert on all payroll-related systems and integrations, supporting audits and year-end reporting.
• Deliver Exceptional Service: Respond to employee payroll inquiries with clarity, empathy, and professionalism.

What we need

• At least 5 years' experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
• Advanced proficiency with payroll systems, especially Lessor.
• Deep understanding of payroll legislation, taxation, and reporting requirements.
• A passion for technology and process automation, with a track record of driving improvements.
• Impeccable attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive mindset, always seeking ways to enhance and streamline payroll processes.
• Fluency in both Danish and English

Practicalities

This role will be based in Copenhagen, Danmark.
