DIRECTOR OF LOGISTICS

Based in Horsens

About the job

As Director of Logistics at HAY, you will lead and develop the logistics organization consisting of 10 highly skilled employees who on a day-to-day basis are led by 2 team leaders.

You will actively engage in the development of the operational platform in HAY together with the operational leadership and be a significant contributor in the overall management community to secure scale for growth. This role reports to the COO of HAY.

In addition to the day-to-day management and development of the team to secure competences long term, other daily responsibilities and tasks will more specifically include:

• Overallaccountable and responsible for end-to-end logistics operationswithin HAY, and the 3PL set-up (inbound, warehousing, outbound, returns).
• Lead the development and execution of logistics/warehousing strategy across HAY
• Ensure timely and accurate information to stakeholders regarding cost, performance & service
• Ensure that HAY’s logistical infrastructure initiatives are aligned with customer requirements, and delivers top-/bottom line growth
• Liaise with our 3PL service providers and other stakeholders to drive sustainability and compliance agenda
• Liaise with management, sales, procurement to secure communication around HAY’s distribution/warehousing strategy, roadmap and related initiatives, corresponding progress and status
• Secure legislation, compliance and timely implementation within HAY

Role expectations

• You are successful as a leader and have a goal-oriented and ambitious approach to problem solving
• A skilled leader that thrives with setting direction, securing robust structures and implementing processes that deliver excellent customer experiences
• Logistics craftsman with business acumen combined with strong execution power and a keen eye for constant optimization and utilization of technology.
• You are independent, enterprising and persevering, with the natural ability to keep an overall overview at the same time as being operational

Experience required

• Minimum 5-8 years of management experience within the world of logistics
• Relevant experience in the design/ consumer brands industry working in a global company with many item numbers and a complex organisation is considered an advantage
• Previous experience from a freight forwarder/logistics company is also considered an advantage
• You can communicate fluently in both Danish and English and understand the importance of collaborating and communicating across departments and the organisation both in Denmark and abroad
