Join us as a Student Assistant in Global Sustainability

Gain hands‑on experience in sustainability within a global renewable energy Virksomhed. You will support projects and processes contributing to the green transition while working closely with experienced colleagues in an international, fast‑paced environment.

Welcome to Global Sustainability

We facilitate projects and initiatives related to decarbonisation, biodiversity, community impact, human rights, and sustainability due diligence across Ørsted. We define the strategic direction for sustainability and work with teams across the business to translate directions into action, strengthen sustainability integration, and help identify and mitigate risks.

Your role: Sustainability Due Diligence & Compliance

You will support embedding human rights due diligence across Ørsted’s value chain.

Key responsibilities
  • Assist with human rights due diligence and related compliance processes across Ørsted’s value chain, gathering supplier information, aiding site‑visit preparation, and contributing to risk screening and reporting.
  • Support human rights activities across the value chain, focusing on streamlining workflows, data collection, documentation management, and process improvements.
  • Contribute to a practical understanding of the regulatory landscape, tracking developments, interpreting implications for Ørsted, and supporting regulatory reporting.
  • Undertake ad hoc tasks as they arise (e.g., special projects, cross‑functional requests, data requests) to support ongoing workstreams.
What we’re looking for
  • Strong interest in sustainability and human rights, eager to learn and contribute.
  • Organised and detail‑oriented, able to manage tasks independently.
  • Strong communicator, capable of producing concise updates and documentation and working with cross‑functional teams.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to handle ad hoc tasks and changing priorities.
  • Self‑driven, capable of working independently while delivering high‑quality results on time.
  • In the final year of a bachelor’s degree or beginning a master’s degree in sustainability, law, political science, global development, or a similar field.
  • Speak and write English fluently (Danish is not a requirement).
Lokation & working hours

The Stilling is based in our office in Gentofte, with flexibility to work remotely as needed. The expected workload is approximately 15 hours per week, with flexibility around exam periods.

Salary and benefits

Hourly rate: kr165.00 – kr185.00 for the advertised Lokation.

Benefits include employer‑paid pension (11 % contribution), full insurance coverage (accident, life, critical illness, and health insurance), five weeks of paid holiday plus ten additional paid days off per holiday year, 3 % holiday allowance, access to Ørsted Life & Fitness Vitality, a multimedia package (mobile phone, PC, and internet), staff club membership, and access to the Virksomhed canteen.
