Design Lead for Nordic FinTech Scale-up?

Pluto.markets is one of the most promising scale-ups on the Nordic venture scene, backed by Y-combinator, leading VCs and 6 local unicorn founders - building the Næste chapter of investing to challenge Saxo Bank/Nordnet.

After building out the platform for four years, we have built a product that users love with high engagement/retention and healthy unit-economics. Now's the time to scale, with the goal to acquire new customers over the Næste 18 months across the Nordics.

As the Første in-house designer, you will be leading this effort, interacting closely with engineering and founders who currently run product.

Who we are

Pluto.markets is a Nordnet/Saxo Bank challenger, founded in Copenhagen in 2021. We have built the Første and only investment platform in the Nordics offering zero commission trading, fractional shares and recently added crypto to the platform with many new and innovative features in the pipeline.

Users already love what we do. During the Sidste 12 months since our public launch we have achieved:

• Trades worth 1bnDKK+ executed on the platform
• trades
• Thousands of registered users
• 12x growth since january across all metrics

This growth has largely been organic with strong PR presence, LinkedIn audience and 50+ podcast appearances during 2025 thus far.

Founders are former Goldman Sachs Trader and Economist, Joakim Bruchmann, and software engineer Oscar Vingtoft - building their second business together.

We are based on Købmagergade in the city centre - with a team currently of 8 FTEs with additional freelance support (of which half are engineers).

The role

The goal is to build the Næste unicorn, which requires aggressive growth and beautiful design - and therefore we are looking for an absolute rockstar. Our ideal candidate is the following:

• 2–10 years experience in B2C design/product
• Can help drive the development of the product UI/UX, website, e-mail flows, ad creatives and our internal dashboard.
• Loves fast-moving environments
• Takes extreme ownership naturally
• Is a founder themselves or has worked at early stage startups or agencies
• Strong work ethics
• Advantage if you speak Danish/Swedish or Norwegian

Focus areas include;Design, Ad creatives, Website, app, product strategy, organic content, e-mail flows

Key KPIs:supporting the team to maintain an exceptional product velocity, overall user experience and "look and feel".
