Stilling Description Summary

Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania invites applications for temporary faculty Stillings (full-time one semester, part-time one semester, or part-time academic year) as needs arise in the Department of Management.

Duties

Based on the specific needs of the department at the time of appointment, a successful applicant must be qualified to teach undergraduate-level courses on campus and/or online in the following fields: Management, International Business, and Supply Chain Management.

Courses

Course(s) may include but are not limited to Principles of Management, Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, International Management, Leadership, Supply Chain Operations, Managerial Decision Making, Supply Chain Cash Flows and Profitability, Managing Quality, Managing Business Processes, Compensation Management, Labor and Industrial Relations, and Global Business.

The Lokation for these temporary Stillings varies with the expectation of serving a multi-campus University within the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.

Qualifying Experience and Education (Minimum/Preferred) Minimum Qualifications
  • A master’s degree in a closely related business field.
  • Academic specialization, prior teaching experience, and/or prior professional experience relevant to course assignment needs of the department at the time of the appointment. Please indicate which program courses you believe you are qualified for (Management, International Business, and/or Supply Chain Management).
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and/or knowledge of diverse populations.
  • Evidence of or potential for effective teaching.
  • Professional qualifications specified in the Zeigler College of Business’ policy for faculty qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A master’s or doctorate degree from an AACSB-accredited university in a business field closely related to the potential courses instructed is preferred.
  • Candidates with experience and willingness to teach face-to-face and online are preferred.
Supplemental Information

Recommendation for hiring is needed for a majority of the regular, full-time department faculty.

Completing this search is contingent upon student enrollment and available funding.

Faculty may be assigned to provide instruction through distance education.

Employment Conditions

Offers of employment are conditional, pending successful completion of the background clearances mandated by Act 153 of 2014 and Board of Governors Policy 2014-01-A: Protection of Minors. In order to qualify for a provisional appointment, the Applicant Acknowledgement Consent Form, Provisional Hire Form, Pennsylvania State Police and Justifacts portion of the clearance process must be successfully completed prior to your start date. The remaining PA Child Abuse History Clearance and FBI Clearance must be successfully completed and returned as soon as possible within the Første 90 days of employment.
