Overview
Department of Biomedicine - Faculty of Health, Aarhus University invites applications for a Research Assistant in biomedicine. The Stilling is a fixed-term full-time appointment starting 1 April 2026 (or as soon as possible thereafter) for 12 months.
Department background: the Department of Biomedicine engages in infection and inflammation, membranes, neuroscience and personalised medicine, offering research-based teaching for the medical degree. English is the preferred language in the laboratory, meetings and seminars. The department employs around 500 people and provides modern laboratory, core and animal facilities.
Your job responsibilitiesYour primary tasks are full-time laboratory work and data analysis, contributing to high-quality international research. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues and may lead to a PhD Stilling in the future.

Your competencesWe seek candidates with a background in biology, medicine, (bio)chemistry or bioinformatics and experience or interest in data analysis or human physiology (including heart, kidney and gut microbiome). The role may continue into a PhD Stilling. Candidates should have good interpersonal skills, be inclusive and team-oriented, and contribute to a positive work environment. Fluency in spoken and written English is required. Shortlisting will be used to identify qualified applicants.
