Join us as our new technician in the Recovery Pilot PlantWe are looking for a skilled and dedicated technician for a Stilling with exciting challenges in the development of proteins and enzymes recovery processes in a dynamic and international environment. We are approximately 45 dedicated technicians, laboratory assistants, and scientists who work on a pilot scale L) with process development and scaling up for Novonesis' production sites around the world.

Welcome to Recovery Pilot Plant Operations, BagsvaerdYou will become an important part of our team of 14 technicians working on downstream process development at pilot scale. You will collaborate with a group of competent and dedicated colleagues in a positive atmosphere where we value an informal tone and a constructive mindset. In the team, we focus on professional development on the job while also allowing for the development of personal skills in areas such as problem-solving, quality work, or technology development.

To deliver excellent processes, products, and data, the work is conducted in shifts, with the working hours over a 4-week period consisting of 3 weeks of day shifts, 1 week of evening shifts, and one weekend of daytime work. The department has a 3-week summer shutdown each year to allow for maintenance and larger renovations so we can operate efficiently for the rest of the year, and there is also a closure around Christmas and New Year.

In this role, you will make an impact by:

  • Being a team player with good collaboration skills
  • Being a positive colleague who can communicate constructively with your team
  • Ensuring execution and follow-up on downstream processes in the pilot plant facility according to agreements/guidelines from a Scientist.
  • Being responsible for controlling and adjusting process parameters during batch runs as well as conducting operational analyses throughout the operation.
  • Assisting with daily maintenance of equipment and utilities, including troubleshooting operational issues.
  • Being able to take the initiative to solve both large and small tasks that are part of daily operations.
  • Being flexible and adaptable to change
  • Having an improvement mindset

To succeed you must have:

  • An education as a Procesteknolog, Levnedsmiddeltekniker or similar relevant experience.
  • A good understanding and interest in process development and downstream unit operations preferably within recovery of enzymes or other biomolecules.
  • A high sense of quality and a natural understanding of the importance of documenting all experimental work. This also includes a desire to work with quality documents as a supplement to practical work.
  • The ability to communicate in English
