Description

As Tender Business Manager you will support in identifying new business opportunities, work closely with internal stakeholders to create the infrastructure required to support the set up of the Tender business across EMEA. The role reports into the Sr. Director, Group Dental Accounts, Special Markets and ADAPT - EMEA - and will primarily focus on the Nordics markets as a start. You will identify, lead, organize, and manage all tender business tasks in the Nordics and across other markets, new business and keep track of all renegotiable opportunities within the public dental market.

Role expectations
  • Bring a strong understanding of the Public sector and orthodontic market (and in particular the clear aligners segment) and keep up to date with the trends in the public market.
  • Be responsible for the tender setup within Align.
  • Organize, lead and manage the tender business framework and process in EMEA, in collaboration with the main stakeholders (Legal/compliance, business operations, finance, market access, procurement, Clinical evidence).
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure the tender business proposals are up to date according to Align procedures.
  • Set-up & Manage the pre-tender process, i.e. search for new contract opportunities.
  • Exchange internally, collaborate with all departments & stakeholders, and externally: i.e. notary office for document legalization, tax authorities, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with customer, tender and contract requirements, internal Virksomhed policies, local regulations, EU Laws and Medical Device Regulations. Set-up and keep deadlines; Contract review to ensure compliance of processes and offers to Virksomhed’s policy and procedures (e.g. T&Cs, Delegation of Authority etc.).
  • Manage the tender outcome (awards & non-awards) including contract management and reporting. Ensure proposed pricing is in line with overall win price, working closely with the external sales team.
  • Coordinate & present findings and make recommendations to gain executive management approval for customer submissions.
  • Utilize various internal tools and financial systems like Salesforce and SAP to prepare reports and conducting analysis by business and application.
  • Introduction and implementation of all necessary bid procedures, governance, and processes.
  • Work with the Group Legal Counsel, Finance & other stakeholders to ensure Align’s interests re always protected.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to achieve a better cost structure and deriving.
What we're looking for
  • 10+ years’ experience, including Tender/Bid Management, ideally in the medical device industry
  • Strong background in sales, contract administration, and customer service
  • Proven experience leading cross‑functional teams in international environments
  • Solid understanding of bid processes, timescales, resources, and proposal development
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, analytical, and comfortable working under pressure
  • Autonomous, collaborative team player with strong judgment, decision‑making, and confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Project, and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s degree required
